Food Technology

Food technology as an elective subject which provides our students the opportunity to explore their creativity and express their culinary talents while satisfying their taste buds. Every week our year 10 students enter the kitchen for their practical, with much enthusiasm. It’s quite a pleasure to witness the joy in their eyes and their passion in attempting new recipes and putting together exceptional meals. The girls truly put in great effort to ensure their time is utilised effectively, taking care in every step of their cooking or baking to achieve the finest results. The presentation of their work is another significant element of their in-class efforts as their meals and baked items satisfy faculties of sight, smell and taste. While they learn new techniques and processes that will be useful for a lifetime they also make sure they have fun along the way, sharing ideas, working well in their teams, competing with one another and of course indulging in the delicious meals and desserts they make.
